Clear Creek Cemetery

Clear Creek Cemetery is located on Clear Creek Road, just off Hwy 62, in the yard of Clear Creek Church, in Morgan County, Tennessee. It is a very old and large cemetery, containing about 125 unmarked graves. It is located all over a hill, and his well maintained.

Richard Riley Bronstutter, husband of Manda Melvina Davis. Son of Eli and Susan Melton Branstetter.


Mary Branstetter, born April 2, 1865, died Jan 12, 1867. Daughter of Henry L. and Rebecca Green Branstetter.


John Howard, husband of Martha (Nancy) Howard. She is believed to be buried in an unmarked grave beside him. John and Nancy had the following children: Joseph, Pleasant, Nathan, Philip Allen, William T., and Avis. John Howard had these children in a previous marriage: Samuel and Isaac.


Samuel Howard, born October 13, 1800, died January 10, 1888. "Joined the United Babtist Church at Cleer Creek May the F. Sunday 1884". He was the son of John Howard, and the husband of Caroline Greene.


Caroline Greene Howard, born March 29, 1808, died March 18, 1893. Wife of Samuel Howard, and mother of the following: Lewis Samuel Clovis, Anna, Elizabeth, Sarah, Martha, Meshack, Susannah, and Mary.

Lewis Samuel Clovis Howard, born July 15, 1835, died Feb 17, 1897, age 61 years, 7 months, 2 days Joined Primitive Baptist April 1, 1884. Husband of Elizabeth M. Honeycutt Howard, and father of Winfield, Matilda J., Romea, Fredrick Bismark, and three children who died as infants.


Kesiah Howard, born Aug 2, 1817, died November 11, 1875, wife of Samuel Howard. Daughter of Nathan (Nathaniel) and Martha Pasty Green Howard.


Rev. James A. Howard, husband of Mary Branstetter Howard.


Mary Branstetter Howard. Wife of Rev James Albert Howard, daughter of Richard Riley and Melvina Davis Branstetter (Bronstutter).


Samuel Martin Howard, born November 29, 1879, died Feb. 17, 1897.
