Located in the Chesnut Ridge community of Morgan County, Tennessee, just off Hwy 62 on Luke Hall Road (a gravel road). Hall Cemetery is well-maintained for the most part, with the exception of the back half which is covered with underbrush. Only three graves in the wooded area are marked, those being that of Mary Bowmer, Daniel Hall, and "S+N 1854" both seen below. Many of the unmarked graves in the wooded area are believed to be of slaves. It's a shame this area hasn't been maintained as well as the rest of the cemetery. There are about 97 unmarked graves.
Luke Hall, died August 11, 1890.
Mary Bowmer, daughter of John H. and Matilda Hall Bowmer, died November 1, 1862. She was about three years old. Note the rock cairn. This grave is located in the neglected area of the cemetery.
Daniel Hall, 1843, died July 27, 1896. Located at the very edge of the wooded section.
"S+N 1854" Whose grave is this?
The neglected area of the Hall Cemetery. It's a shame this is unmaintained.
